Today, students are bringing home their first at home project of the school year. We went over the assignment today in class but feel free to reach out with any questions. Below are the forms that the students took home today just incase they need an extra copy!
Be on the lookout for Lowell Mills Field Trip Forms. Our class will be going on the field trip on Wednesday, October 10th. Also, today was the first day that we logged onto DreamBox as a class. Students' log in information is pasted in the front page of their agenda books if they forget their password and are looking to access it at home. Linked here is a letter to parents and guardians explaining DreamBox (you may have picked this up during open house).
Also, if you have not gotten a chance to sign up for Remind here is the link to do so. This is an app that you will be able to join to get updates from me. It also allows you to contact me directly.
Below is a message from our gym Mrs. Carlson about our field day!

Click on the wish list tab above to check out the Donor's Choose projects that I have set up for our classroom. Please don't feel any pressure to donate! I just wanted to share the links in case any one was interested. This is my first time using Donor's Choose and it seems like a really awesome idea.
For anyone who doesn't know what it is (like me a week ago)... It's a not for profit organization for teacher's. It allows classroom teacher's to create "projects", Each project is something that you think would benefit your classroom but don't necessarily have the funds for. Again, please no pressure... just something new and interesting that I wanted to share :)
After spending some time learning about factors, we created our own factor turkeys. I broke the news to the kiddos about my LOVE for craftivities.
Thank you to Mrs. Carlson and all of the amazing volunteers who made this day happen! Room 208 had a blast and here are the photos to prove it :)
April is National Poetry Month! On Friday, we brainstormed Spring nouns and vivid verbs. Each kiddo picked new words from their groups baggy and recorded them onto their papers. Next week, we will be creating personification statements with our new word pairs and writing our own Spring poems. Spring is awesome!!
“Everyone is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking that it’s stupid.”
